Settings of Automatic Dimensioning ~ Hidden Features (Hidden Lines)

When we use Adaucogit Salt automatic dimensioning function in AutoCAD software, there are three options regarding hidden features. They are “Auto”, “Yes” and “No”, and will be explained in the following.

For example, we will dimension the below drawing by these three options respectively. (The specifying sequence of base points is top view, front view, and left view.)

Option “Auto”:
The program determines which hidden features should be dimensioned and which could be ignored. If the hidden feature needs to be dimensioned, the program will judge to annotate in which view. For instance, the hidden rectangle (6.00 x 3.00) in the below drawing also could be dimensioned in the front view and the left view, but the program judged that it is better to dimension the rectangle in the top view.

Option “Yes”
All solid lines and hidden lines will be dimensioned, but will not repeat annotating.

Option “No”
Only solid lines will be dimensioned.
