Text Scale of Automatic Dimensioning

Adaucogit Salt provides a powerful auto-dimensioning function for AutoCAD. Besides the main dimensioning feature, it also has some other features. In this article, a feature – dynamic text scale – will be introduced.
Dynamic text scale is a special feature of Adaucogit Salt auto-dimensioning function. The default scale is based on the size of objects which are selected for dimensioning. A user is also allowed to specify the text scale after dimensioning. When the scale is changed, the dimensions (include text size, dim-spaces, etc.) will also be regenerated immediately.

1. Such as the picture below, the program will ask for a text scale after dimensioning. You may specify a new text scale or just accept the current value.

2. Here we input 0.8 for new value.

3. After inputting, the dimension layout changes immediately. You can specify the text scale continually until you are satisfied with the layout. (Note 1)

This feature allows you to change the text scale immediately. Without modifying dim-style or selecting another dim-style, just input new value of text scale after dimensioning. It is convenient to adjust the dimension layout especially for some drawing files which contain many components and their sizes are quite different.

Note 1: The text scale or dimension layout only can be changed by this function when the dim-style is not annotative. In other words, using annotative dim-style can fix the text scale if you do not want the auto-dimensioning function changing it.
