A Tip for Adaucogit Salt Linear Automatic Dimensioning - select all the views which you want to dimension at once

If you want to dimension a drawing which has three orthogonal views in AutoCAD software by using Adaucogit Salt linear automatic dimensioning function, selecting all the views at once is recommended. Through considering the relationship between these views, the program will make the layout of dimensions more reasonable.

Following is the procedure for Salt linear automatic dimensioning. Please notice the third step.

1. Click the automatic dimensioning button.

2. Choose options - 2D linear & All objects.

3. Select what you want to dimension. Select all the views at once, and press Enter key to continue.

4. Specify the base point of each view respectively. (It is better that all these base points present the identical base point of the component. (Note 1)

5. Before dimensioning, the program will add center lines for circles and symmetric geometries automatically if they do not have center lines.

6. After dimensioning, the program will give you a text scale which is based on the size of dimensioned objects. If you are satisfied with the scale, just press Enter key to accept it or input a new value until you are satisfied.

7. Dimensioning completed.

Note 1: Because the program weights these views by the sequence of base points specifying, the dimensioning layout will be different if the specifying sequence is different.
